the cheap repport November 14, 2008
Ok, so theres coming a good one in the near future, when I get back home. This repport of my ongoing trip is not so posh but I still felt I had to do a little update. Anyways...
After flying to Russia and the mythical transsiberian trainride from Moscow to Ulan Baatar in Mongiolia we were ready to do some climbing. We spent a couple of days in the nearby national park riding, climbing and living in so called yurtas. The place was beautiful, loads of rock but the quality was so and so. We still got to do some routes and bouldering+riding through the endless landscape. After some more citylife in UB (good food and trad music) we headed for Beijing. Appearently there is some granite climbing around but unaware as we were we ended up only doing the classic tourist round: the Great Wall (it was really Great!), forbidden city etc. Allready here my shopping started to get out of hand and the trip had just started. We moved on. Next stop was one of the main ones, Yangshuo in suthern China. The most recognized climbing area in the country. A lot of potential and enough routes to keep us buzy for the 3 weeks we've spent here. Next up is Tokyo and if someones got some good contacs or beta I'd be really thankful for any help. I'm sure we'll (me and Calleballecamel) be fine though. The journey continues. Stay tuned for a nicer repport with photos etc. Now I'm of for a lesson in the traditional 2 stringed violin -the Er Hu.
